    SLAB Soap Company operates slabsoap.com. We are an independent soap company based in Oregon's Willamette Valley. We do not sell your personal data. We use it to run our store and improve your experience.

    Name and email address (when you place an order or sign up for our list). Shipping and billing address. Phone number (if provided at checkout). Payment information (processed securely by Shopify, we never see or store card numbers). Order history and preferences. Communications you send us (email, contact form).

    Browser type, device type, and operating system. IP address and general location. Pages visited, time on site, and referring URL. Shopping behavior (products viewed, added to cart, purchased). Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 4).

    3. How We Use Your Information

    We use your information to:

    Process and fulfill your orders. Send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and receipts. Respond to your questions and support requests. Send marketing emails if you've opted in (you can unsubscribe anytime). Notify you of Bar of the Week drops and subscriber-only offers. Improve our website, products, and customer experience. Comply with legal obligations.

    We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

    We use cookies and similar technologies to keep our store running and understand how people use it.

    Essential Cookies

    Google Analytics / GA4. We use this to understand traffic patterns, which pages perform well, and where people drop off. Data is aggregated and anonymized where possible. You can opt out via Google's opt-out tools.

    Advertising & Remarketing

    Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram). We use this to measure the effectiveness of our ads and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site. You can manage your ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.

    Email Marketing

    Klaviyo. Our email platform. Klaviyo tracks email opens, clicks, and on-site behavior (like abandoned carts) to help us send more relevant emails. You can unsubscribe from any email we send. Klaviyo's privacy policy is available at klaviyo.com.

    Subscription Management

    Appstle Subscriptions. If you enroll in a recurring subscription, Appstle processes your billing schedule, order history, and subscription preferences to manage recurring deliveries. Appstle does not store full payment card numbers. Their privacy policy is available at appstle.com.

    5. Third-Party Services

    Our store runs on Shopify. Shopify's privacy policy applies to data processed through their platform. We also use:

    Klaviyo for email marketing and behavioral analytics. Google Analytics for site analytics. Meta Pixel for ad measurement and remarketing. Appstle Subscriptions for recurring billing and subscription management. Appstle processes your order history, billing schedule, and subscription preferences to manage recurring deliveries. Their privacy policy is available at appstle.com. USPS for order fulfillment and shipping.

    6. Data Retention

    We retain your personal information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, maintain your account, and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing customerservice@slabsoap.com.

    7. Your Rights

    Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing at any time.

    Oregon residents have additional rights under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (OCPA). To exercise any of these rights, email us at customerservice@slabsoap.com. We will respond within 45 days.

    8. Children's Privacy

    Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at customerservice@slabsoap.com and we will delete it promptly.

    9. Security

    Payment data is handled entirely by Shopify's PCI-compliant infrastructure. We never see or store full credit card numbers. We take reasonable measures to protect all other information, though no data transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

    10. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
