Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using slabsoap.com or placing an order with SLAB Soap Company. By accessing this website or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About SLAB Soap Company

SLAB Soap Company ("SLAB Soap," "we," "us," or "our") is a sole proprietorship operating at PO Box 4311, Salem, OR 97302, engaged in the handcrafted manufacture and sale of natural castile soap and related products.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting slabsoap.com, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this site.

3. Products

Product Descriptions

We make every effort to accurately describe our products, including ingredients, dimensions, scent profiles, and batch characteristics. Because our soap is handcrafted in small batches, there may be natural variation in color, appearance, and texture between batches. These variations are a feature of the handmade process, not a defect.

Availability

All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. If an item in your order becomes unavailable after purchase, we will notify you and offer a substitute, store credit, or full refund.

Pricing

Prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. The price charged for an order is the price at the time the order is placed. If a pricing error affects your order, we will contact you before processing.

Ingredient Transparency

All ingredient lists are accurate at time of publication. Formulations may change. If you have known allergies or skin sensitivities, please review the full ingredient list on each product page before purchasing. When in doubt, contact us before ordering.

4. Orders & Payment

Order Acceptance

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including orders we believe are placed for commercial resale without prior written agreement, or orders that appear fraudulent.

Payment

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and other payment methods available at checkout. Payment is processed at the time of order. All transactions are processed securely through Shopify's payment infrastructure.

Order Confirmation

You will receive an email confirmation after placing your order. This confirmation is an acknowledgment of your order, not acceptance. We reserve the right to cancel confirmed orders if fulfillment is not possible.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping terms, processing times, and carrier information are detailed in our Shipping Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather events, or circumstances outside our control.

6. Returns & Refunds

7. Subscriptions & Recurring Billing

SLAB Soap offers recurring product subscriptions powered by Appstle Subscriptions.

Enrollment

By selecting a subscription option at checkout, you authorize SLAB Soap Company to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the frequency selected at enrollment. Current subscriptions are billed quarterly. Existing subscribers enrolled prior to March 2026 may have a different billing interval in place, which remains valid for the life of that subscription unless changed by the subscriber.

Billing

Your payment method will be charged automatically on each billing date. You will receive an email reminder before each renewal. Prices are subject to change. We will notify you before any price change affects your subscription.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time before your next billing date with no penalty and no minimum commitment required. To cancel, log in to your account at slabsoap.com or contact us at customerservice@slabsoap.com. Cancellations take effect on the next billing cycle. Orders already processed and shipped cannot be cancelled or refunded except under our standard damage and defect policy.

Skipping & Pausing

You may skip or pause a subscription order at any time before its billing date through your account portal at slabsoap.com.

Subscription Data

Subscription management is powered by Appstle Subscriptions. By enrolling in a subscription, you agree that your order data, billing schedule, and payment method details are processed by Appstle in accordance with their privacy policy. We do not store or have access to your full payment card details.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on slabsoap.com including text, product names, brand identity, photography, graphics, logo design, copy, and the SLAB name and red diamond mark is the property of SLAB Soap Company and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this site without our express written permission.

9. User Conduct

When using this site, you agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its infrastructure, scrape, harvest, or collect customer data or product information in bulk, post or transmit any content that is harmful, false, or misleading, or use this site to infringe on the intellectual property rights of SLAB Soap or any third party.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Products are sold as is. While we take great care to describe our products accurately and manufacture them to a high standard, SLAB Soap Company makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding fitness for a particular purpose beyond normal soap use. Our products are intended for external use only. Discontinue use and consult a physician if irritation occurs.

11. Limitation of Liability

SLAB Soap Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or website. Our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the product in question. Some states do not allow limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In those states, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Third-Party Links

Our site may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only. SLAB Soap Company has no control over third-party content and is not responsible for the practices of any linked site. Visiting third-party sites is at your own risk.

13. Privacy

Your use of this site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Marion County, Oregon.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to slabsoap.com. Your continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
